As every student’s favorite subject around – lunch time – the question of where to spend the period tends to float into our minds. Some roam around campus while others have a permanent, as if sacred, spot to chat with friends and munch on snacks. Students at LCC seem to have a daily routine of what happens during lunch – Could it be a trend among different grade levels or does La Costa Canyon lunch consist of a mix of various students?

Freshman – like Nathan Hamzey – are experiencing their first lunch periods here on campus; so, it would only make sense to meet with friends at general spots such as the media and student centers.

Sophomores this year seem to be attracted to a single lunch area on a daily basis. Vincent Walsh can always be found by the 1300s while Maia Villaflor enjoys sitting in the 600 quad.

LCC juniors find comfort in relaxing in the school parking lot. Students such as Mackenzie Uni and Diego Soriano tend to spend their lunch time in cars, away from others on campus.

Considering that selective grade levels here at La Costa Canyon have the option to congregate off campus during lunch, most seniors seem to take up the offer. Both Ava Tracy and Grant Simm agree on the convenience of having a shopping center right down the street.

With close to 2,000 students attending LCC, there is always a place for each student during our allotted lunch time; have you found yours?
