Every 15 Minutes is a program that shows people the effects of drunk driving and distracted driving. It included a live action car crash aftermath and activities at school throughout the day.

 

Q: What is your name and grade?

A #1: I am Bella Carmona and I am a sophomore.

A#2: I’m Nick Vanags and I’m a sophomore.

A#3: I am Layla and I’m a junior.

 

Q: Have your heard of Every 15 minutes? What do you know about the program?

A #1: I haven’t heard about the program at all.

A #2: I’ve heard of the program and it sounds very cool. I know it’s like a drunk driving thing and there is going to be like a car crash and maybe more.

A #3: Yes, I think it sounds super cool because thats definitely a pressing topic and something we don’t talk about enough.

Q: Have you or anyone you know ever been affected by a drunk driver? Can you tell me about it? Was anyone hurt?

A#1: Yeah my Aunt’s ex boyfriend was driving home drunk one night and couldn’t stop before he ran into a parked car. He was pretty hurt but didn’t die.

A#2: Yeah actually a friend of mine was driving home from a party and crashed, nobody in the car even had their license but nobody got hurt so they were all super lucky. I think that scared them into not doing anything like that again.

A#3: No not a car crash relating to substance abuse.

 

Q:  Have you ever been in a car accident of any kind? How did it feel?

A#1: Yeah not a big one just a small one. You feel just super out of control and just scared.

A#2: No I’ve never been in a car accident.

A#3: No I think it would be horrible though.

 

Q: How do you feel like this program will affect our schools attitude for drunk driving?

A#1: I hope it makes people realize how serious it is and how it can affect so many other people.

A#2: I think it will put it into perspective.

A#3: I hope it will make people think about life and how it affects others.
